I'm having this problem where the dock randomly crashes ONLY for networked users. Users who are local to the machine never experience this problem. When the Dock crashes it is not possible to restart the Dock process. It's also not possible for the user to log out or restart the computer as the computer will hang during the log out process. It is possible, however, to log into a local user (a local admin user), where the Dock works fine, lauch a terminal window, and perform a "sudo shutdown -r now" command to restart the computer.
I'm running 10.4.4 on all the network machines with 10.4 Server hosting the LDAP database. I've got mobile user turned on for my laptop, just in case that might matter.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
