Hey there,
Just wondering if anyone else is running their OS X Server as a small (<100 domains) hosting company...
The reason I ask is because I'm looking for someone to trade backup hosting services with - you act as a backup host for my domains, I'll do the same for you.
I'd prefer the server be located *not* in the southeast US - that will lessen the chances that a storm or other "natural" event takes out both servers.
Any ideas? Sites that might have info like this?
Thanks!

Re: Small Hosting Companies?
Tue, November 23, 2004 - 6:28 AMI think your best bet is something like www.wholesaleinternet.com/. They are cheap and you can even co-lo there.
I have a T1 and a number of domains, but one takes an average of 110,000 hits per day. I wouldn't do what you are suggesting with anyone and expect them to remain my friend ;-)
I run Mac OS X Server, php, PostgreSQL, mod_gzip, etc. It generally rocks. -

Wed, November 24, 2004 - 9:29 AMThanks - that's a good idea.
I'm kinda looking for someone smaller than WholesaleInternet - someone I can trade backup services with. That would be a no-cost solution *and* would support someone in my same position :)
I'll look in to WI and some like them to see what they offer. Thanks again!
